Managing a Vinted wardrobe, and the backup it doubles as.
Managing a Vinted wardrobe in Cavri is one record per item, kept outside Vinted: a stable reference, VIN-0001 and counting within its wardrobe, that stays with the item whether it is a draft, live, sold or posted.
That record is also the backup. Titles, descriptions, prices, dates and every photo sit in your own workspace rather than on Vinted, which is what makes it a second copy instead of a window onto the first.

The lifecycle, in order
Four states. The dates that matter are stamped automatically as it moves.
- Draft, It exists in Cavri and nowhere else. Photos in, AI draft or your own words, cost recorded. Vinted has never heard of it.
- Live, Published to Vinted. The listed date is stamped, which is what the relist queue and the price curve both measure from.
- Sold, The sync sees it sold, records the price it went for and the date, and moves it to the to-ship list.
- Shipped, You print the label off the item and mark it posted. It leaves the to-ship list and settles into your numbers.
Only Live counts against your plan. A sold item stops counting the moment the sync sees it sold, and deleted is a soft fifth state: the row leaves the wardrobe, the history stays.
What Cavri keeps on an item, and what it cannot
The full record, and the line it stops at: if it is part of your listing, Cavri has it. If it belongs to Vinted's social side or to Vinted's money, it does not.

It is a copy, not a restore button
Years of written listings and photographed garments usually live in exactly one place: an account you do not control. The import keeps a second copy, and the same sync that powers editing keeps it current, so prices, statuses and sold dates stay right while you are on a paid plan.
What that copy cannot do is put anything back. If Vinted removes your account, Cavri still holds your listings and your photos, and it cannot upload them into an account that no longer exists. It is something to read, export and rewrite from, not a restore.
Nothing about it is locked in either. Cancelling drops you to Free at the end of the period you paid for and deletes nothing: everything stays visible, the listings over the Free cap go grey and unmanaged, and what stops is publishing new listings and spending AI.
The account screen exports the whole workspace as a zip, your profile, your wardrobes and every item as both JSON and CSV, with the photos too if you ask for them. A second button deletes the account outright, photos included, without a request to anybody. Either way your Vinted account is untouched: this was always a copy.
What this doesn't do
- There is no barcode scanning. Items carry a storage location you type (a shelf, a box, a rail) not one you scan.
- It does not import your Vinted balance, payouts or buyer messages.
- It does not do accounts. It records costs and sold prices; what you do with those is between you and HMRC.
- It does not track postage costs you paid separately.
- Item IDs are unique per wardrobe, not across your whole account.
- It does not archive listings that were deleted before you imported.
- A very large photo library is refused as one archive. Take the data without photos, then download those per item.
Questions about the item record
Can I run more than one wardrobe?
Yes. Each has its own ID prefix and counter, so sourced stock and personal clear-outs stay apart.
Does it track what I paid?
It holds a purchase price on every item alongside the listed and sold price, and that is where every profit figure comes from. You have to put it there: an import reads Vinted, and Vinted has never known what you paid. An item with no cost on it counts as zero, which makes its profit equal to its sold price. Purchase price is bulk editable so a haul that cost the same goes in once.
What happens when something sells on Vinted?
The sync marks it sold in Cavri, records the price, and moves it to your to-ship list. If the delist rule is on, any duplicate listing comes down too.
Where does the shipping label live?
On the item. Upload it once and download it when you pack, rather than searching your email for it.
Does the copy include my buyer messages?
No. Finding offers means opening the conversations they arrive in, so Cavri does read your inbox, but what it keeps is the offer: the price, the item and the buyer's Vinted handle. The message text is not stored, so it is not in the copy and not in the export. Cavri never sends a message either way.
Can I get everything out again?
Yes, in one press. The account screen exports a zip holding your profile, your wardrobes and every item as both JSON and a spreadsheet-ready CSV, and a second button includes every photo. Nothing is held back and nobody has to approve it.
