Six photos of a jumper
This is the shape of what comes back, from a set of phone photos and nothing else typed in.
- What you give it, Six photos: front, back, the neck label, the composition label, a sleeve cuff, and the one bobbled patch under the arm.
- Title, “John Lewis lambswool crew neck jumper (navy) M”. Brand and material off the labels, colour and cut from the garment.
- Description, Three to five sentences on what it is, the brand, the size, the colour, the composition read off the label, and the bobbling named rather than hidden.
- Price, A starting number, which is a considered guess and not a market reading. Change it: it is the field people change most.
- Condition and category, Picked from Vinted's own lists so the listing is publishable rather than half-filled.
- Then you, Read it, fix the bits that are wrong, publish. A draft goes live on its own only if you switched the publish-drafts rule on, which starts off and is Personal and above.

You pick the provider per account. The allowance is counted the same way whichever you pick.

One generated item is one credit, and regenerating the same item is another one. Editing a draft by hand costs nothing, ever. One other thing spends a credit: if you publish or relist an item whose listing is missing something Vinted insists on, and your own words do not supply it, Cavri reads the photos to fill that field in rather than refusing the publish. It only happens when a field is genuinely missing. On the paid plans it is recorded against the same allowance; on Free it is not charged at all, because that allowance is a trial of the writing and publishing your own words should not spend it.
What it gets wrong
- Prices. It has no market data: the number is a sensible starting point, not a valuation.
- Brands it cannot see. If the label is not in a photo, it will not invent one, which sometimes means a blank you fill in.
- Measurements. It is never asked for any and will not give you any: if a buyer wants a chest width, that is you and a tape measure.
- Faded or unusual colours, which it will name confidently and occasionally wrongly.
- Damage you did not photograph. It describes what it can see. If the hole is not in the picture, it is not in the description, and that is your problem, not the buyer's.
- It never publishes anything by itself. A draft only reaches Vinted when you press publish, or when you have deliberately switched on the publish-drafts rule, which starts off.
Questions about the AI
How many listings can the AI draft?
Free includes AI listing generation for 10 items in total, spent once and never reset, enough to judge it on a real drop. Personal raises it to 250 items a month and Scale to 1,000 items a month.
Is the suggested price right?
It is a starting point. There is no market scraping behind it, so treat it as an opening move and let your own sold prices correct it over time.
Do you train models on my photos?
Cavri trains nothing, and gives your photos to nobody but the AI provider you picked. What that provider does with them is set by its terms, not ours: OpenAI and Anthropic do not train on API data by default, Google's terms allow the requests to improve Google's products and to be seen by people. Pick accordingly, or ask us first.
Which model should I pick?
The default on each provider is a fast vision model and it is fine for clothing. If you already have a preference between Gemini, OpenAI and Anthropic, use it. The prompts are the same.
Does editing a draft use another credit?
No: typing over the words is free, and always is. Regenerating the same item is a second credit. There is one other way the allowance goes down without you pressing generate: publishing or relisting an item that is still missing a field Vinted requires, where Cavri reads the photos to fill it in rather than blocking the publish. It only happens when the field is genuinely missing.
