Working both figures out on your own wardrobe
None of this needs Cavri. It needs a list of what you listed, what sold, and two dates per sale. The order matters, because the first two steps are where nearly every published Vinted sell-through figure has already gone wrong.
- Fix the window before you look, Pick it in advance and make it long enough that a slow department has more than a handful of sales in it. Cavri's default is the last 365 days, and the shortest the Stats page offers is 90. A 30-day view of a category that sells three items a month is a report on three items.
- Build the denominator, including what you removed, Every item that was listed at any point inside that window, counted once: the ones still sitting there, and the ones you deleted or relisted. If you cannot reconstruct what you deleted, say so and treat the rate as an upper bound rather than quietly dropping them.
- Divide, and write the window next to the answer, Items sold in the window over that denominator, as a percentage. A rate with no window and no sample size beside it cannot be compared with anything, including your own figure from last quarter.
- Time each sale, then take the middle one, Days from the day the listing went up to the day it sold, kept as a list rather than added up. Sort the list and take the median. One coat that sat for a year moves a mean far enough to act on wrongly, and moves a median by one place.
- Count the relisted sales and print the count, Any item whose listing date was replaced is timed from the replacement, not from when it first went up. Put that count beside the median. If it is a third of the sample, the median is describing your relisting rather than your stock.
- Refuse the thin buckets, Split by department and by price band, then print nothing where there are fewer than ten timed sales. Cavri's threshold is ten: under it the row shows the count it has and waits, and the Stats page hides its mean days-to-sell on the same rule so the two figures cannot disagree in public.
- Band on the asking price, not the sold price, The asking price is the number you chose and the only one you can change on the next item. Cavri bands on the listed price and falls back to what the item fetched only where there is no listed price to use, which happens on imports and on drafts marked sold by hand.
Two figures out of one list, and they disagree more often than not. A wardrobe that sells 70% of what it lists but takes eleven weeks to do it has a pricing question. One that sells 30% in nine days has a buying question. Neither number says that on its own, which is the reason for working out both.
The five ways the number lies
Every one of these moves the figure in the flattering direction, which is why they survive. Nothing here is a criticism of the seller: they are properties of the measurement.

The first row and the last are the same date field seen from two ends, and that field has caused three separate bugs here, on 15, 16 and 26 August 2026. The listing date is right for anything that describes a listing, which is what these medians do, and wrong for anything that acts on one: a rule that relists by age has to run on when Cavri first saw the item, not on a date Vinted supplied about a listing Cavri never watched. Both clocks exist in the code, and they are kept apart on purpose.
What Cavri will not print, and why
There is no market-wide figure on this page. Cavri holds what its own sellers recorded about their own wardrobes and nothing else: no view of what anybody else charged, no list of what sold across Vinted last month, no table of rates by brand. Tools that read sold listings at scale can publish a brand-level number, and that is a different kind of company from this one.
The rates that circulate for Vinted do not carry a method. A sneaker figure quoted to one decimal place, an average of four point two days to sell, a claim that better pricing lifted sell-through from one percentage to another: none of them states a window, a sample size, or what was done about deleted listings, and several sit on the sites of tools the number flatters. A percentage without those three things is decoration.
Cavri sells a relisting tool, and the first row of the table above makes that tool look better than it is on Cavri's own screen. A relist shortens the measured wait whether or not it shortened the real one. That is why the sell-through report declares how many of the sales it timed had been relisted, beside the number rather than in a footnote, and it is worth knowing before reading any vendor's figures, this one included.
Sales with no listing date, and the handful whose two dates disagree because a relist landed after the sale had synced, are left out of the medians and counted in the open. The sample line says how many sold in the window, how many could be timed, and how many could not. A number that quietly drops what it cannot handle is worse than one that says how much it dropped.
What this doesn't do
- It prints no sell-through percentage. What the Stats page shows is median days to sell by department and by price band, how many sales each figure is drawn from, and how many of those had been relisted. The rate is yours to divide.
- It publishes no benchmark. There is no figure here for what a Vinted seller should expect, because Cavri has no way to know it and most of the sites printing one have not either.
- It sees sales and nothing else. No views, no favourites, no impressions, no search position. Vinted names all of those as inputs to what gets shown, and Cavri can read none of them.
- It cannot reconstruct a relist you did by hand before importing the wardrobe. Those items count as never relisted, which makes the medians on an imported wardrobe look better than they are.
- It cannot count items you deleted before Cavri saw them. Those listings are absent from the record entirely, so any denominator you build over an imported wardrobe's first months has holes in it.
- It is not a target. A median describes what happened to your stock. Relisting everything moves it, and moving it that way means nothing at all.
- Anything that writes to Vinted goes through the Cavri browser extension on a desktop or laptop. Your phone can read the numbers; it cannot carry out the change.
What Vinted publishes about this
Vinted names the parameters its feed and search take into account, and two of them decide whether a faster measured sale was a real one. Cavri does not restate anything that belongs to somebody else and moves: the links go to the copy that is kept current.
